Parc des Princes
Overview
With the Parc des Princes, the Club has a venue that matches the prestige of the City of Light, where fans—whether with family or friends—come to enjoy a full, festive experience.
With more than 35,000 season ticket holders each year, the Parc des Princes is a stadium wholly dedicated to football. The Paris Saint-Germain brand and its logo are now embedded into the fabric of the venue, where the Rouge et Bleu have played over 1,000 official matches.
Today, the Club has the ideal tool to support its sporting ambition. Extensively renovated, the Parc des Princes has never been more welcoming. It has become a 21st-century stadium: modern, functional, fan-friendly, and 100% connected. A venue worthy of the City of Light, where supporters gather for a complete and vibrant experience. Now fully dedicated to football, the Parc des Princes helps project Paris to the world.
A unique offering in Europe
During its most recent renovation, completed shortly before Euro 2016, the Club invested €75 million to upgrade the venue: 47,929 seats were replaced with more ergonomic and functional models; the lateral trenches were covered; synchronized LED advertising boards and HD wifi were installed throughout the stadium. Over 100 contractors and 1,200 workers took up the challenge of renovating a stadium that remained operational throughout the project. During the months of work, the stands remained open so fans could continue to support their team. This model has since inspired similar efforts across Europe.
The Parc features a next-generation pitch—natural and heated—interwoven with synthetic fibers, providing a faster, more even, and more durable playing surface. Since 2013, it has been under the meticulous care of Jonathan Calderwood, the Parc’s Northern Irish pitch manager (also responsible for all training sites). The Paris pitch is now considered one of the best in Europe.
The pitchside area is lined with blue PSG synthetic grass and displays the Club’s redesigned 2013 logo. The playing surface was raised slightly to improve sightlines in the corner sections. In the Borelli and Paris stands, two new rows of seats were added above the former trench, bringing fans closer to the action and reinforcing the Parc’s legendary status in Parisian, French, and international football.
High-end hospitality spaces
In 2011, the Parc des Princes’ premium hospitality offering included 1,200 seats. Since then, around 6,000 m² of hospitality areas have been fully renovated—first in the Borelli stand (the former presidential stand), then in the Paris stand—allowing the Club to welcome around 5,000 guests and VIPs in lounges and boxes. These spaces replaced the former Club headquarters (2002–2013) and introduced unique venues such as the American Express Concierge and Avenue du Parc.
On the stadium’s top floor, where radio commentators once sat, the SO/ Bar Parc des Princes now offers a new lounge-style experience for a different audience.
Fully renovated media areas
The mixed zone, interview rooms, auditorium, reception lounges, press box, photographer areas, and camera positions have all been redesigned and renovated to allow for better circulation and high-quality working conditions. The press box now accommodates nearly 250 journalists.
